Making the most of your ERG workouts isn’t completely intuitive. Here’s how you can do it.
- Dial down your Smart Trainer to lowest difficulty level.
- Steadily increase cadence (90+) before hard effort within an ERG workout. This reduces the spin-out effect and/or trainer becoming difficult to pedal.
- Make sure you have the correct FTP for your current training level to prevent overcooking within the ERG workouts.
- If you need to make “in workout” adjustments, use the “Page Up” and “Page Down” buttons to manually adjust the resistance.
- You can always disable ERG mode while riding using the up arrow key when in a Workout and going from there.
